DESCRIPTION:Reservoir computing is a machine learning paradigm that exploit
 s dynamical systems to solve temporal tasks. This technique finds applicat
 ions in fields as diverse as weather forecasting\, &nbsp\;stock market pre
 diction\, and communications. Similar to other unconventional computing pa
 radigms inspired by the capabilities of the human brain\, reservoir comput
 ing is concerned with hardware implementations that aim to overcome the ch
 allenges of digital computation. In this context\, quantum reservoir compu
 ting is the case where quantum dynamical systems are used as reservoirs. I
 n this talk\, I will introduce the field and give a brief overview of stat
 e-of-the-art experimental implementations.
