DESCRIPTION:Abstract:\nThe seminar will consist of 2 sessions:\n\nFocus on 
 Quantum Business (Almudena Justo &ndash\; Director of the Fujitsu Fsas Int
 ernational Quantum Center).&nbsp\;I will explain the quantum landscape fro
 m a business perspective\, major investments carried on by the public sect
 or\, etc. I will also explain how are we working in Fujitsu and our strate
 gy for the development and market uptake of quantum technologies\, combini
 ng the work in the Quantum lab with the work we do in the international qu
 antum center.\nFocus on Quantum Computing Applications (Alejandro Borrallo
  &ndash\; Technical Manger of the Fujitsu Fsas International Quantum Cente
 r). Alejandro will explain some R&amp\;D projects and cases studies around
  quantum computing in different verticals that we are developing. He will 
 explain also some Digital Annealer Proof of Concept with the industry\n\nB
 io:\nFujitsu International Quantum Center aims to accelerate the market re
 ach of these technologies through public-private collaboration\, with the 
 goal of enabling the industrial sector to improve its competitiveness thro
 ugh the development and adoption of quantum technologies.\nSpanish executi
 ve Almudena Justo is a Chemical Engineer by training with a Master's degre
 e in Energy and Sustainability and a Master's degree in Environmental and 
 Bioprocess Engineering. She holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) 
 from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and an Executive MBA in Intern
 ational Business.\nWith international residencies at the London School of 
 Economics\, the Coller Institute at Telaviv University\, and the Spanish O
 ffice for Science and Technology (Ministry of Science) in Brussels\, Almud
 ena Justo has extensive business experience in executive positions in busi
 ness development and management of public-private innovation ecosystems in
  various technological fields internationally. She has worked on various s
 trategic public-private digital transformation projects\, such as the impl
 ementation of agricultural innovation systems (AKIS) within the Common Agr
 icultural Policy (CAP)\, smart city projects and the implementation of low
 -emission zones\, digital transformation of the water sector\, and more.\n
 Thanks to her technological and business expertise and extensive experienc
 e in public R&amp\;D&amp\;I funding\, she has served as an external expert
  for the European Commission and the European Institute of Innovation and 
 Technology in business creation\, entrepreneurship\, and technology transf
 er\, working across diverse verticals such as renewable energy\, the circu
 lar economy\, and raw materials.\nAlejandro Borrallo Rentero is a Quantum 
 Computing Manager at Fsas Technologies and a lecturer at UPM. He specializ
 es in advancing quantum computing technologies and has a strong academic a
 nd professional background in the field. Alejandro is dedicated to both th
 e theoretical and practical applications of quantum computing\, striving t
 o drive innovation through his work in industry and academia.
